Once we increase the furnace's thermal and chemical resistance in one area, we shift our focus to any other components that could be exposed to harsh operating conditions. By this point, your monthly operational downtime caused by component failures will be significantly reduced to 50% on average.

How We Do It

 

Sage's unique Thermal Shield and Sage Self Foaming Slag
technologies are the secret to your future success, and ours too!

We customize our Thermal Shield technology for each component of your Electric Furnace, creating a protective sleeve that completely isolates the components from the harsh conditions they operate under.

Once our custom-made protective sleeve has been applied to the components, they will remain "as new" until half the life of the Thermal Shield is exhausted. This normally occurs in cycles 100% or longer than the traditional cycles.

A long list of Key Performance Indicators can be immediately improved in the fourth phase where Sage again provides the engineering, customized hardware, spare components, and maintenance. Each KPI is analyzed and its improvement is clearly defined.

The huge cost of acquiring, collecting, treating, circulating, and cooling off great volumes of water, is currently seen as necessary for operation. Typically 2/3 of the water used to cool off panels is unnecessary when using our Thermal Shield technology.

The final step of the plan customizes the use of Sage Self Foaming Slag (SSFS) which dramatically reduces emissions of NOx, CO, and CO2 , as well as the tap to tap, keeping the earth happy and your bottom line improving.
