Sage does not believe that studs should be consummed as commodities.

For this very simple reason our company has always invested in the improvement of the studs we supply and apply.

Under normal conditions we supply gradually less studs in each boiler as time passes and the only way to survive a competition where studs are applied over and over is to sell the results granted by the studs instead of selling the studs by number.

Direct benefits to the user are: simplified purchasing procedure, since one blanket order at fixed price is placed typically for five years, gradual reduction of the time required to perform the services, simplified inspection - upon completion of the service, the customer has simply to check if ALL areas calling for studs have been tended.

Additional benefits are access to our database of abnormal conditions, availability of all maintenance data for the services provided by Sage which are accessed through an exclusive password directly to customer's data bank.

The main benefit however is a consequence of a very simple principle - PROPERLY MAINTAINED STUDDED PANELS SHOULD RETIRE WITH THE BOILER. Instead they have been replaced over the years simply because adequate studs maintenance have been disregarded.

Right maintenance is not only possible but costs much less than composite tubes. The price differential paid for Composite Tubes costs more than implementing the installation of Sage Smart Studs™ and maintaining them throughout the boiler life cycle. Additionally, Composite Tubes besides the additional cost derived from their omnipresent cracks, waive the benefit granted by the use of studs as monitoring devices.
